Kidnapped animals
Between 2000 and 2004, roughly 600 animals were stolen from 80 zoos in the European Association of Zoos and Aquaria, reports USA Today. Only a small number of the often-exotic and even endangered animals are ever found again. Behind the thefts, says John Haywood, coordinator of Britain's National Theft Registry for Exotic Animals, is black-market demand from private collectors around the world. மிக்க நன்றி. உண்மைதான் அய்யா. தமிழில் எழுத வேண்டும் என்பது தான் என் விருப்பமும். இன்று நான் என் பணிமனையில் இருந்து இன்றைய நாளேடுகளைத் மேலோட்டமாக தட்டிப் பார்த்துக்கொண்டிருந்த போது இச் செய்தி கண்ணில்பட்டது. மிகவும் சுவாரசியமாக இருந்ததனால் இச் செய்தியை உடனே பதிவிட்டுவிட்டேன்.
